Spectacular CHL change: This is how the top division will run in the futurePreliminary round draw on May 24// CHL - CURRENTThe Champions League has a new look for the start of the new season. Fewer teams, but more group matches. The draw for the new season will be made on May 24. We already qualified in February for the ninth time in a row.
In November last year, the Champions League decided to change the mode. In the future, only 24 teams will play for the title in Europe's top league instead of 32. In the preliminary round (August 31 to October 18), all teams will then be listed in an overall table. Each team will play six matches against six different opponents, with the top 16 qualifying for the playoffs.
Playoffs unchanged
In the knockout round, everything remains as usual. So, as before, the playoffs will be played in round of 16, quarterfinals and semifinals (Nov. 14-Jan. 17) with first and second legs. The final (February 20) will also be decided in one game, as before.

Draw live
Which six teams our team will have to play against will be drawn on May 24. The draw will take place during the Ice Hockey World Championship in Tampere (Finland) at 4 p.m. and will be broadcast live on the CHL website and on the CHL social media channels.
Eternal CHL table: Red Bulls in the top 4
Last season, Red Bull München failed to reach the round of 16 against EV Zug. A year earlier, our team reached the semifinals of the European premier league. In the eternal table, the Red Bulls are by far the best representative from the PENNY DEL: Among a total of 100 teams, Munich can be found in position four. The greatest success so far was the participation in the final in 2019.
