Blind commentary also available in the EHC Red Bull München app starting Friday
“Ice hockey is for everyone.” Under this motto, we collaborated with our trained colleagues at BENA Consulting last season to offer audio descriptions for selected EHC Red Bull München games for the first time. Five dates have already been set for this year, including the game against Mannheim.
It's easy to listen to the audio commentary
With one crucial change: from now on, we no longer have to work with receivers that are handed out in advance, but can make the audio track accessible to everyone. Before the game starts, you will find a separate section for the audio commentary for the visually impaired on the start screen of our app, directly below the live blog. Simply click on the “Listen now” button. You will then be redirected to a separate page, where you just need to press play to follow the game from a whole new “perspective.”
This is what a goal sounds like in a commentary for the blind
The audio commentary for the blind is designed to provide as detailed a description of the game as possible. This includes the exact position of the puck, movements, gestures, the names and positions of all players, and much more. In fact, everything that the eye would normally see. This allows people with severe visual impairments to enjoy the full ice hockey experience in the stadium – and now also at home or on the go with our app.
This is a great addition that makes our wonderful sport accessible to everyone. We invite everyone to listen to the audio commentary for the visually impaired in our app.

Fri, October 31, 2025 (7:30 p.m.): Red Bull München vs. Adler Mannheim
Wed, December 10, 2025 (7:30 p.m.): Red Bull München vs. Kölner Haie
Tue, January 6, 2026 (4:30 p.m.): Red Bull München vs. Eisbären Berlin
Sun, March 1, 2026 (4:30 p.m.): Red Bull München vs. Kölner Haie
Fri, March 13, 2026 (7:30 p.m.): Red Bull München vs. Straubing Tigers
In addition to the five confirmed dates during the PENNY DEL regular season, additional games with audio commentary by the blind reporters will be added once the playoffs begin.
