// DEL - HIGHLIGHTS
Course of the game
The Red Bulls were the dominant team in a hard-fought first period. However, little happened in front of goal - until the Panthers' first power play (7th). Munich counterattacked dangerously twice, but missed the shorthander. At the other end, Chris Collins hit the puck against the crossbar after a one-on-one move (9). Three minutes later, Anrei Hakulinen suddenly popped up in front of Daniel Allavena and converted with ice-cold precision. However, the Red Bulls came back before the first period break: Parkes scored after the hosts' penalty time had expired to make it 1:1 (19').
In the middle period, the spectators initially saw an open exchange of blows. When the Red Bulls got into the game better, the Panthers struck. Alexander Oblinger scored after a counter-attack to make it 2:1 (29'). Just 27 seconds later, Thomas Jordan Trevelyan completed the AEV double (29'). Augsburg were now full of euphoria and scored three more goals before the second break: Hakulinen increased the lead (35) before Trevelyan made it 6:1 with a powerplay brace in the 40th minute.
Augsburg's first shot on goal in the final period was also successful. Hakulinen made it 7:1 (43'). The Red Bulls then survived a major penalty unscathed. A short time later, Munich were playing with the advantage themselves. DeSousa took the chance to make it 2:7 (53') - which was also the final score.

Toni Söderholm:
"We were too impatient in the second period and allowed too many counter-attacks. Augsburg took advantage of that. Unfortunately, we didn't make the right decisions today. Now we'll recover and prepare for Mannheim."
