Series of successes to continue: Red Bulls want to crown their tour of Germany

Series of successes to continue: Red Bulls want to crown their tour of Germany// DEL - CURRENTLast Sunday, the Red Bulls set an old DEL record with the derby win. In Mannheim, the success story is to be continued.
How would Red Bull München do as a rock band? Probably not bad at all. After all, Don Jackson's team is playing an extremely successful tour of Germany this season. Especially since November 8, 2022.
Highlights: Kölner Haie vs. Red Bull München (08.11.2022)
// DEL - HIGHLIGHTS
Immediately before the Deutschland Cup, our boys were challenged in the Lanxess Arena. The Red Bulls won 3:2 against the Kölner Haie, a narrow but well-deserved victory, and thus went into the short break at the top of the league. So far, so unspectacular. What nobody knew at the time was that it was the beginning of a record-breaking series. Because since that Tuesday night, the Red Bulls have been unbeaten away from home - whether in the capital, the far north or the neighborhood.
Stewart's journey through time
In the prestigious derby in Augsburg last Sunday, our boys also set off a veritable fireworks display to mark their upcoming record. 93 (!) Munich shots were recorded, 47 of them were on Dennis Endras' goal, six times our fans in the packed away block were allowed to cheer during the game. And once afterwards, because, as already mentioned, Patrick Hager & Co. set an old DEL best. The 6:1 victory in the derby was the twelfth away win in a row.
This feat has only been achieved by Adler Mannheim. In the 2001/02 season, the squares celebrated twelve consecutive victories in foreign halls between November 23, 2001 and January 18, 2002. Coach then as now: Bill Stewart. The Canadian coach will do everything on Friday (19:30 | LIVE in our blog and on MagentaSport) not only to end his team's three-game losing streak, but also to defend "his" more than 21-year-old record.
"If we have already won twelve..."
The Adler started their latest record-breaking run at the Kassel Huskies. Mannheim then celebrated its twelfth away win at the Moskitos Essen, and four days later the series was over after a loss to the Hannover Scorpions. None of these teams will be able to give us a leg up, because in the meantime both Kassel (DEL2) and Essen and Hannover (both Oberliga Nord) are no longer in the PENNY DEL, as is well known.
The Adler Mannheim, on the other hand, are capable of doing so; after all, the Munich team conceded its last away defeat in the very arena in which it will compete on Friday night: The SAP Arena in Mannheim. For Justin Schütz, however, it's clear: "If we've already won twelve away games in a row, of course we want to set a new record now." That would be the temporary crowning of the Munich tour.
