Eagles bulwark in their own living room
Coach Dallas Eakins' team has won five of its last eight games. On Friday evening, however, Mannheim lost the derby at Schwenninger Wild Wings 2:6.
At home, however, the Adler defense has been extremely stable of late, conceding just five goals in four games in November. Felix Brückmann even recorded a shutout in the narrow 1:0 win against the Pinguins Bremerhaven.
A deep attack
Strikingly, no Mannheim player is currently among the top scorers in the league. The Kurpfälzer rely on four balanced lines, all of which can make an offensive appearance. As many as 13 professionals have already scored in double figures. Defender Leon Gawanke (14 assists) is responsible for the attacking play. And in offense, top performers such as Matthias Plachta, Marc Michaelis, Kris Bennett, Tom Kühnhackl and Luke Esposito should provide the necessary goals.
By the way: The visiting team has now been waiting for an away win for eleven games between Mannheim and Munich. We definitely want to end this streak on Sunday.
