Jackson: "Want to strike back"
The Red Bulls not only lead the table, they are also the best team of the past five match days: ten points fetched in this period next to us only Mannheim. Among others, Yasin Ehliz recently presented himself in top form. The forward scored four goals - a league best.
However, even he could not prevent the 1:5 in the Champions League on Tuesday evening against the Swiss champion EV Zug. Coach Don Jackson demands a reaction from his players: "We want to strike back and must be ready for the game in Bremerhaven."
Bremerhaven despite mini-crisis on course
"Strike back", that could also be the headline over the duel with the Penguins from Munich's point of view. Because in the only encounter of the current season, the EHC Red Bull München lost in Bremerhaven with 0:1. The decisive goal was scored by Nino Kinder, who was also therefore elected by the Fischtown fans as "Player of the Month October".
Bremerhaven climbed to first place in the standings after the win. However, four defeats in a row followed, in the last game before the international break, the team of coach Thomas Popiesch stopped the negative run by a 5:1 against Wolfsburg.
Reunion after days with the national team
In Bremerhaven it comes for our forwards Frederik Tiffels, Andreas Eder and Justin Schütz to the reunion with Alexander Sulzer: The former German NHL player has been assistant coach with the Fischtown Pinguins since this season and supported the DEB coaching team at the Deutschland Cup in Krefeld. Over several days, he worked there with our national players.
Tiffels still knows Sulzer as a teammate. Both played together for the Kölner Haie - the same goes for goalie Danny aus den Birken and captain Patrick Hager. On Thursday, our guys and Sulzer meet again, guest gifts they do not want to distribute then.
