"Garbage man" with his own office: Parkes cracks the magic 100// DEL - CURRENTIt happened on Sunday in the Red Bulls' 6-1 win over Bietigheim: Trevor Parkes scores his 100th DEL goal in a Munich jersey. The Canadian goalscorer is now just four goals behind club legend Michael Wolf, who has scored the most times for the three-time German champions.
"Ready to accept any pain imaginable".
"My office" is what Parkes calls the space in front of the opponent's goal. When he makes himself at home there, opponents in the German Ice Hockey League know: it's going to be uncomfortable. "I'm sure I'll rarely score a goal that makes the annual review for its beauty. But I'm prepared to accept every conceivable pain for a goal," says the 31-year-old.

And further: "In the end, a dirty goal counts no less than the most beautiful in the world." Because of his many tap-in goals, by the way, he has earned the nickname "garbage man."
Top scorer twice, 20-plus goals for the season five times
With this attitude, Parkes produces goals by the barrel. Since moving to Germany from the San Jose Barracuda (American Hockey League) in 2016, he has scored 147 DEL goals - more than any other player in the league during that period.

He cracked the 20-goal mark twice for the Augsburg Panthers before moving to Munich in 2018. With the Red Bulls, the right-shooter picked up where he left off in Augsburg. And that was with scoring goals.
Twice he was the top scorer of the main round, in three seasons he recorded more than 20 goals. Among them were a number of highlights, such as the four-goal haul in Schwenningen in January 2021. 17 double-packs were also scored, and Parkes scored the game-winning goal 20 times.
MVP in the Champions League
Parkes also delivers on the international stage: In our run to the 2019 Champions League final, he was top scorer with nine goals and voted MVP of the season. What the Canadian still lacks is a title with the Red Bulls.
The same goes for Yasin Ehliz, who has 85 goals and could be the next Munich player to break 100.
