EHC Red Bull München: Chris DeSousa Out for Several Weeks Due to Injury
DeSousa was injured late in the game but was able to finish it. In the ensuing shootout, the Canadian scored the decisive penalty shot to seal a 4-3 victory, thereby securing the extra point for Munich.
The 35-year-old has been under contract with EHC Red Bull München since the summer of 2022. With 101 goals and a total of 187 points, DeSousa has scored more goals than any other Munich player during that time since his move to the Bavarian capital.
Krening Still Injured – Daubner Back on the Team
In addition to DeSousa, head coach Oliver David will continue to be without Philipp Krening. The 22-year-old forward is sidelined with a lower-body injury and is not expected to be available to the team until after the Deutschland Cup break in mid-November.
Max Daubner, on the other hand, made his comeback for the four-time German champions in last Sunday’s away game against the Grizzlys Wolfsburg after a lengthy injury-related absence.
