In the playoffs, our number 8 has achieved something in the quarterfinals that no one else has managed.The Red Bulls needed six games to punch their ticket to the semifinals in the best-of-seven series against the Penguins Bremerhaven. The knot only burst in Game 3 in front of a home crowd. Don Jackson's team followed up their 7:1 victory with three more and thus made everything clear.

Ortega set up two power-play goals for his colleagues in the emphatic win at Oberwiesenfeld. In the entire series against Bremerhaven, our Californian whirlwind brought it to eight points (three goals, five assists). Only David Wolf of Adler Mannheim has scored as often in this playoff round. However, no one else besides Ortega has managed to do that: Score in every single game of the quarterfinal series. A strong performance!
In the semifinals, the Red Bulls and Ortega want to continue their series. The next opportunity to do so comes on Friday (March 31 | 7:00 p.m.), when Game 1 takes place at the Olympia Eisstadion.
