The U17 team is heading into the 2026–27 season with a new coach, bringing in a figure who is well known in Munich.
Former Hedos goalkeeper Rupert Meister takes over the U17 team
Rupert Meister is moving from the Enz to the Isar and will assume sporting responsibility for the Rookie Bulls’ U17 team. Many fans will likely remember the Landshut native well: Between 1988 and 1992, Meister was part of EC Hedos Munich and played as a goalie himself.
After his playing career, Meister established himself as a renowned youth coach. Among others, he has worked with the Kölner Haie, SC Bern, EV Landshut, and the German Ice Hockey Federation. Most recently, he was head coach of the Bietigheim Steelers’ U20 team in the DNL.
