The away game in Franconia is part 2 of our road trip. The opener in Iserlohn on Wednesday was extremely successful. Coach Don Jackson's team won 5-0 in the Sauerland and thus continues to ride the wave of success - the seventh DEL win in a row and second shutout of the season.

Yasin Ehliz has made his contribution to the success with the Roosters with two scorer points (one goal, one assist). Now the second season duel with the Ice Tigers is just around the corner. About seven weeks ago, Nuremberg walked off the ice at Oberwiesenfeld as the winner after the penalty shootout. Time for revenge.

The anticipation at Ehliz is great, because "derbies are always cool, especially when it goes against Nuremberg." Between 2010 and 2018, our striker wore the jersey of the Franconians.
His ex-club is currently on the road to success. On Tuesday, the Ice Tigers fought their way back from a deficit twice at the Düsseldorfer EG and climbed to 9th place with their third win in a row. Patrick Reimer made the lid on it with an empty-net goal shortly before the end. It was his eighth goal of the season.

The Nuremberg captain is about to celebrate an anniversary. Because on December 10, Reimer celebrates his 40th birthday. An age at which most players are already in well-deserved field hockey retirement. But not Reimer: The member of the 1000 Club is in top form. With 24 goal contributions in 24 games, he is the fifth best scorer in the German Ice Hockey League. He has not scored against the Red Bulls since February 15, 2019. And that can gladly remain so.
