NHL: Two Boston Bruins regular-season games in 2027 at SAP Garden
It’s been a good two years since we inaugurated our new home at the Grand Opening Game on September 27, 2024, against the Buffalo Sabres. In addition to the glamorous opening, the spotlight was also on the return of our international star, JJ Peterka. The images of his solo warm-up and the wave after the game still bring a smile to our faces.
The forward, who now plays for the Boston Bruins in the National Hockey League, will return to his hometown and the Oberwiesenfeld again next year. Unlike at the grand opening, however, EHC Red Bull München will merely be an observer of the upcoming spectacle this time around. In other words, the NHL is the organizer of the games, which will be played as part of the NHL Global Series Germany.
World-Class Ice Hockey at the SAP Garden
JJ will play two official league games with the Boston Bruins at the SAP Garden. Exactly who they’ll face and when hasn’t been determined yet. What is certain, however, is that we can look forward to two games of the very highest caliber of hockey right here in our own backyard.
Further information on game dates, ticketing, and specific details will be announced during the 2026–27 NHL season. The NHL and the NHLPA (NHL Players’ Association) plan to bring NHL games to Germany regularly in the coming years as well.
