In the final, the Swedes won 4:3 after overtime against the reigning Swiss champions ZSC Lions. Congratulations to the four-time Swedish champions Växjö, who won the title in their first participation in the international invitational tournament.
EHC Red Bull München finished fourth. Coach Toni Söderholm's team was beaten 4-2 by EC Red Bull Salzburg in a thrilling duel between the two hosts.
