A Visit to the Wiesn: EHC Red Bull München at the 2026 Oktoberfest
One win, one loss—that’s the record from the second weekend of games during this year’s Oktoberfest. After an initial practice session and team meeting on Monday, the team headed to the Theresienwiese—unfortunately without Oliver David and Dominik Kahun, who were out sick. Traditional team-building with the support of our beer partner, Hacker-Pschorr.
Kastner: “Great for our team spirit”
A good opportunity to look back on the first four matchdays under the Bavarian sky. For many of our guys, visiting the Wiesn together is a highlight every year. “Of course, this is great for our team chemistry. You get to know each other even better off the ice, chat in a relaxed atmosphere, and have a lot of fun together,” says Maxi Kastner.

Others, like our new Canadian addition Trevor Carrick, had only heard stories about the world’s biggest folk festival until today: “You hear a lot about Oktoberfest, and you kind of have certain expectations when you come here. But those expectations were far exceeded. It was a really cool experience. I just can’t get over how many people are here and how delicious the beer is. The vibe, the atmosphere—just everything: It was a ton of fun.”
Second Wiesn Home Game Turns into a Derby
The Red Bulls’ sporting action continues this week. After reflecting on their 1-4 loss to Frankfurt, Munich will face the Kölner Haie on the road on Friday (7:30 p.m.).
Then on Sunday, we’ll play our second home game during Oktoberfest. In the derby against the Augsburger Panther (7:00 p.m.), we want to improve our record for this year’s Oktoberfest game days with your help.
