Blinden-Reportage

To enable people with visual impairments to enjoy the full ice hockey experience, we offer a blind reportage at selected EHC Red Bull Munich home games in collaboration with our trained colleagues from BENA Consulting. The offer celebrated its premiere on November 1, 2024 against the Cologne Sharks under the motto "Ice field hockey is for everyone".
What is the Blind Report?
The game is described live and in as much detail as possible via headphones and an audio description. Among other things, the reporters describe the exact position of the puck, movements and gestures, names and positions of all players as well as game situations that are otherwise only visible to the eye.
The result is an ice hockey experience that enables people with severe visual impairments to follow the game in full - whether in the stadium, at home or on the road.
How the blind report works in the stadium
The Blind Reportage is offered at selected home matches in a dedicated block. After arriving at the SAP Garden, there is a fixed meeting point where an EHC Red Bull München employee takes the guests into the arena. On site, we will provide you with headphones and access to audio description, which will be provided by our trained colleagues from BENA Consulting.
