Sunshine, delicious food, and lively conversation: that's how the barbecue with fans and the team went.“Met lots of fans”// NEWSOn Thursday, another item on our summer program was on the agenda. The Red Bulls players met with around 200 fans at the “Henry” in the SAP Garden for a barbecue. Afterwards, the players were elated about the event.Flank and fillet steaks, chicken breast, grilled corn on the cob, vegetable skewers, a wide variety of salads, and much more. Our catering partner DO & CO pulled out all the stops for the barbecue with players and fans, putting together a fantastic all-you-can-eat buffet.
The weather, which had been rather unpredictable in the days leading up to the event, was on our side on Thursday evening, so the 200 guests who had registered in advance were able to enjoy themselves to the full on the sunny terrace of the “Henry.”

Christian Winkler (Managing Director Sports Red Bull Ice Hockey) opened the evening with a few words about sports before the players, who are spending their summer break in Munich, mingled with the fan groups. It became more than clear that “it wasn't difficult to convince the guys to come by.”

Barbecue with the team and fans – Part 1
“The food today was incredibly delicious. Just like the drinks. I met lots of fans again and also spoke to some people from our fan clubs,” said our new signing Brady Ferguson, who had already taken every opportunity to chat with fans over the past few weeks.
His insider tip for settling in Munich quickly: “Daubi (Max Daubner) is a fan magnet, so it wasn't hard to strike up conversations with people.”
Wagner introduces himself to the fans – public ice training on August 9
Defender Fabio Wagner, another new signing, introduced himself to the fans after returning from vacation following his participation in the World Championship. “The BBQ was a very cool event. I got to meet a lot of fans for the first time, which made me very happy. The food was good and I think the other guys enjoyed it too.”

Barbecue with the team and fans – Part 2
Following last week's Schafkopf card game, the BBQ event marked another activity with the fans that the players can definitely see becoming a new tradition at SAP Garden. The next opportunity to get together will be on August 9. After the first public ice training session in the history of our new home, the entire team will introduce themselves to the fans in the arena and jointly kick off the new 2025/26 season.
