EHC Red Bull München welcomes Rabot Energy as an official partner
The collaboration with Rabot Energy covers electricity supply and comprehensive energy management, including measures to optimize consumption, load shifting, and other strategies to stabilize costs. In this way, the electricity provider contributes to the efficiency and sustainability of our home stadium. The cooperation enables a CO₂ reduction of 3,200 tons.
“In Rabot Energy, we have found a partner who helps us to intelligently control the energy consumption of our arena, reduce energy costs, and achieve our climate goals at the same time,” explains Oliver Wesp, Managing Director of Red Bull Stadion München GmbH.
Sustainability plays a key role at SAP Garden
Sustainability considerations played a central role in the construction and now also in the operation of SAP Garden. The roof of SAP Garden is home to the first photovoltaic system consisting of 808 PV modules. The two-row photovoltaic system surrounds the green roof and provides self-sufficient energy for one of the three additional underground ice rinks in the building complex.
The striking aluminum pilaster strips, which consist of over 50 percent secondary aluminum, also reduce direct sunlight to a minimum. This leads to a reduction in the greenhouse effect. Green electricity was already a core element of the energy supply before the partnership with Rabot Energy.
Rabot Energy gains extensive presence at SAP Garden
“With SAP Garden, we are taking on responsibility for a flagship project in Munich's sports and events scene. Our goal is not only to reduce costs through intelligent energy management, but also to make an active contribution to the energy transition in professional sports,” says Jan Rabe, CEO of Rabot Energy.
As part of the partnership with the club, the green electricity supplier will be present at SAP Garden as part of the sponsorship package. In addition to branding on the ice, numerous digital touchpoints such as LED boards, fascia boards, and the promotion ring are available for this purpose.
