On Monday evening defender Fabio Wagner followed up on münchen.tv's “Sport Arena.”In the recorded interview, our new signing spoke about his move, gave his first impressions of his start to training and looked ahead to the coming season. On Saturday, some of our club officials discussed the upcoming season in a talk show. We have summarized the most interesting comments for you.

Christian Winkler (Managing Director Sports Red Bull Ice Hockey): "Our squad has been strengthened in all positions. We have signed many new players and undergone the biggest change in recent years. We have made changes not only in the team, but also at all levels around it. We want to become more dynamic, more dominant, and, of course, more successful. We are convinced that we have a team that belongs at the very top. You can see in training that we are working intensively on many things. We also want to regain our ice hockey identity to a certain extent and play aggressive ice hockey."

Oliver David (coach): "I want the team to play ice hockey that excites the fans—and brings us victories at the same time. Of course, we in the coaching team also feel a certain amount of pressure, but that's only natural when you work for a club that wants to be at the top. We coaches work as a team. The assistant coaches also bear a great deal of responsibility in our organization. It's important to me that we all work and communicate with each other on an equal footing. As head coach, however, I make the final decision. Rob is responsible for power play situations, Max takes care of our penalty killing. Even otherwise, I always find something for the two of them to do (laughs)."

Rob Leask (assistant coach): “For me, the move in the summer was a big change. Everything is bigger at EHC Red Bull München than it was in Straubing. But it's very well organized, and the club did a lot of preparation work for the new players and coaches beforehand. In terms of sport, the expectations are even higher here.”
Max Kaltenhauser (assistant coach): “It's nice to be back here. I think we've noticeably strengthened the squad this summer. You can also tell that the players who were here before are all willing to step it up a notch.”
