EHC Red Bull München: First personnel decisions for the 2026–27 season
Six players will no longer be wearing the Red Bulls jersey next season. With Konrad Abeltshauser—who joined the organization in January 2016 at the age of 23—one of the most influential players in the club’s recent history is leaving EHC Red Bull Munich.
The defenseman won the German championship with Munich in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2023 and reached the Champions League final in 2019. With 571 DEL and 63 CHL appearances, Abeltshauser has the second-most competitive games in Red Bulls history, behind Maximilian Kastner.

Five more players are leaving—talks with Brooks are ongoing
Nikolaus Heigl, Vadim Schreiner, and Simon Wolf are also leaving the club. All three completed significant portions of their training at the Red Bull Hockey Academy. In addition, EHC Red Bull München and Dillon Heatherington as well as Alberts Smits are parting ways. Club officials are still in talks with Adam Brooks.
