EHC Red Bull München: Interesting Statistics for the 2025–26 Season
Did you know that Ville Pokka was our marathon man? But that’s not all: among other things, the defenseman also has the hardest slap shot on the Red Bulls. In fact, the Finnish world champion and Olympic gold medalist dominated several categories.
But Ryan Murphy, Tobias Rieder, Taro Hirose, Yasin Ehliz, Patrick Hager, Adam Brooks, and Gabriel Fontaine also ranked near the top of our stats.
The Marathon Men
EHC Red Bull München played 63 games this season—52 in the regular season and 11 in the playoffs. Ville Pokka and Yasin Ehliz played in all 63 games, meaning they didn’t miss a single match. Pokka logged 1,281.55 minutes of ice time, made 1,672 shifts, and covered a total distance of 286,926 meters—all of which are top figures for our team!

By the way: Taro Hirose, Adam Brooks, and Gabriel Fontaine had the longest average ice time per shift. The trio each clocked in at 52 seconds.
Offense
Hirose secured the title of the team’s top scorer. The Canadian tallied 67 points, and his 54 assists also set a team record. The high number of assists isn’t surprising. After all, the forward was our passing machine with 1,903 passes, 84.2 percent of which found their mark. Impressive! At the same time, Taro also posted the best plus/minus rating of our guys at +29.
Tobias Rieder was the most accurate scorer. After 16 goals in the regular season, he added another eight in the playoffs. The Landshut native has never before scored 24 goals in a single season during his professional career. Our forward’s efficiency was also outstanding, as an impressive 17.9 percent of his shots found the back of the net. None of his teammates achieved this. Rieder also leads the way in screening the opposing goalie. He blocked the goalie’s view 86 times—often with success.
However, Ehliz accounted for the most shots, with 308 attempts to his credit. The hardest of these clocked in at 149.2 km/h. That said, it doesn’t come close to Pokka’s shot. The defenseman fired the puck at the net at 162.7 km/h, making him the clear leader.

When it came to speed, however, no one was faster than Yasin. Our number 42 clocked the highest speed on the Munich team at 37.6 km/h.
Defense
The offensive player was also really strong in one-on-one battles. Ehliz contested the most puck battles with 990 and won well over half of them (54.2 percent). A remarkable rate for a delicate forward.
Pokka is likely to still have a bruise or two on his body as well: Ville blocked the most opponent shots, racking up 68 blocks.
Skillful Hands
Ryan Murphy and the puck? It’s a perfect match. The Canadian loves to carry the puck for long stretches, creating scoring opportunities. Murphy spent 79.04 minutes with the puck on his stick and covered a distance of 21,374 meters during that time. Both figures are the benchmark on Coach Oliver David’s team. Pokka is once again among the puck magnets, touching the puck 3,305 times—more than anyone else.
And our captain once again proved that he has nimble hands and quick reflexes. Patrick Hager took 1,162 faceoffs—by far the most—and won 52.4 percent of them. Here, too, Hagi led the way once again.
