Red Bulls sign defender Emil Johansson// PERSONALDefensive leader Red Bull München has signed Emil Johansson shortly before the transfer deadline. The 26-year-old comes from the first Finnish league from Vaasan Sport.The 1.82-meter, 87-kilogram Swede may make his debut in Germany's top hockey league as early as Feb. 17 in a home game against the Grizzlies Wolfsburg.
"More depth for the playoffs"
Christian Winkler, Managing Director Sports Red Bull Ice Hockey: "We are happy to have found a player in Emil in a currently extremely difficult player market, who gives us more depth for the playoffs starting in March. He will certainly help us in the fight for the title."
Johansson is the Red Bulls' ninth foreigner license, and the defenseman will wear number 57 for the three-time German champions.
