EHC Red Bull München: Here's How the 2026 BBQ Event went
About 200 fans gathered with numerous players from EHC Red Bull Munich at “Henry” in the SAP Garden for a lively barbecue evening. The weather was perfect, too: with bright sunshine and a cloudless sky, conditions were ideal.
Socializing and Culinary Highlights
Guests were treated to a wide array of culinary delights: flank and filet steaks, chicken breasts, grilled corn on the cob, vegetable skewers, a variety of salads, and many other specialties left nothing to be desired. To accompany the meal, guests could enjoy an ice-cold Red Bull or freshly tapped Hacker-Pschorr, which was available at a discount during a two-hour happy hour. Together with players and fans, catering partner DO & CO ensured the BBQ was a complete success with an all-you-can-eat buffet.

“It’s just a great event with fantastic food. It’s nice to get together with the fans again after such a long break and to talk about hockey once more,” Max Daubner said happily on Tuesday about the gathering, but he jokingly complained: “My only problem is that I stood on the side of the table for too long and now I have a sunburn on my left side. But I’m happy to put up with that.”
While many of the guys were already looking forward to the second edition of our BBQ event in the days leading up to it, for some of the players it was a welcome opportunity to introduce themselves to the fans for the first time. Newcomers like Lucas Thaler and Trevor Carrick—who had just landed in Munich on Monday—were also in attendance.
Emotional Reunion: “An Incredible Feeling”
For one of our “new” guys, it was a successful reunion. “For me, this is the first event with the fans since I’ve been back. It’s an incredible feeling and really wonderful to see the fans again. There are a lot of familiar faces here. It’s just a lot of fun,” reported returnee Dominik Kahun, beaming with joy.
The next opportunity to connect is just around the corner: On August 9, following a showcase practice, the entire team will present itself to the fans around the arena and celebrate the kickoff of the 2026–27 season together. Interest is already huge—tickets for the exhibition practice sold out in less than two hours. You won’t need tickets for the subsequent events or the autograph session, though. Just stop by and kick off the new season together with Coach Oliver David’s team!
