EHC Red Bull München: Update on Daubner, DeSousa, Hager, Klok, and Krening
While it was already clear that Chris DeSousa and Max Daubner would be out, three other players had to sit out at the last minute on the second day of the recent tournament. Patrick Hager, Lukas Klok, and Philipp Krening did not play over the weekend.
Krening Out for Several Months
The Red Bulls will have to do without Philipp Krening for an extended period. The 22-year-old, who suffered a lower-body injury during Friday’s game, is expected to be sidelined for several months and will therefore miss the start of the 2026–27 PENNY DEL season.
Daubner, DeSousa, and Klok to be fit by season opener
Max Daubner (lower body), Chris DeSousa, and Lukas Klok (both upper body) are expected to be sidelined for just a few more weeks. All three are expected to be fit in time for the start of the new season on September 18 against the Adler Mannheim and will see action during the remainder of preseason.
Hager Expected to Return Soon
The all-clear has been given for our captain. Hager is expected to rejoin team practice soon following his upper-body injury and could therefore be ready to play again shortly. It remains to be seen whether he’ll be ready in time for a comeback at the South Tyrol Summer Classic this coming weekend, where we’ll first face HC Lausanne on Saturday and then, the following day, either the host team HCB South Tyrol Foxes or the Brûleurs de Loups de Grenoble.
