PENNY DEL: EHC Red Bull Munich receives Löwen Frankfurt

A look at Frankfurt

"I expect another very intensively fought match. The Lions want to confirm or even improve on their performance from last season," said defender Dominik Bittner in the run-up. Two players in particular will have to be watched out for. "Dominik Bokk and Carter Rowney are always dangerous."
The two attackers combined for 45 goals and 108 scorer points last season. In this still young season, Frankfurt's top duo has not yet been the big factor. But: Against Mannheim, Bokk collected two assists, Rowney even recorded three assists and thus his first scoring points of the current round. So the Red Bulls are warned.
Nevertheless, the focus is primarily on their own game. "On the whole, it will be important for us to deliver a focused performance as a team over 60 minutes," Bittner emphasized.
Excellent shorthanded play
It is quite possible that once again the special teams will play a decisive role on Sunday. While the Red Bulls are one of the best teams in the league in both over- and shorthanded situations, the Hessians have hardly been overcome in penalty killing so far.
Only in the fifth game of the season against Mannheim was the Löwen bulwark cracked in shorthanded. This means that Frankfurt has only conceded one goal in a game where it was numerically inferior. A success rate of 95 percent is definitely worth highlighting.
