Playoffs DEL EHC Red Bull München: Voices and Stats after Game 3
What went wrong and where our team has to put the lever to make it better on Thursday in Wolfsburg, we tell you in our column voices & stats.
Don Jackson (Coach Red Bull München): "We didn't start the game well, had a lot of wasted pucks at the beginning. In the course of the game, however, we were able to create some very good scoring chances. However, the five goals against us show that we didn't always defend well. In a playoff series, there are always ups and downs. For us, it's now time to show a response."
Konrad Abeltshauser (Red Bull München defender): "We were too far away from the opponent and then had to chase a deficit. In the end, we threw everything in and created chances and goals.

But that was too late today, in the playoffs you have to play hard ice hockey for 60 minutes. We often tried it playfully, but it was too tight for that. The Grizzlys' switching game was very fast today, plus they took their chances better."
Zach Redmond (Red Bull München defenseman): "Playing the puck deep and forechecking hard afterwards - that's part of our team's identity. As far as that goes, we didn't do it well enough today. Wolfsburg relies very heavily on their top players, we have the luxury of a deep squad. That's part of our match plan in this series. Energy can be a factor, but only if we do our homework."
Mike Stewart (coach Grizzlys Wolfsburg): "We played with bite and speed, took our chances in the second period and then defended well. Munich pressed until the end, it was brutally tight. Strahlmeier made a great save. It was a very good team performance. We came out of our third period better today and that's the be-all and end-all against Munich."
Björn Krupp (Grizzlys Wolfsburg defenseman): "Especially at the end of the game it was very tiring. It's a tight series and we did great today, but it continues in two days. We know Munich is a very good team and will give everything to come back. We have to play our system calmly, counterattack quickly and not want too much."
