Red Bull München: Kastner, Brooks, and Sinn unavailable for several weeks
Kastner, Brooks, and Sinn out for several weeks
Kastner and Brooks were injured in Sunday's PENNY DEL home game against the Nuremberg Ice Tigers (3-1). Both forwards are expected to be out for five to six weeks. Defenseman Sinn will be unavailable to the team for around three to four weeks.
Kastner has played in all 28 DEL games for the Red Bulls so far this season, recording seven points (four goals, three assists). The 32-year-old has been under contract in Munich since the beginning of his DEL career and is the club's record player with 565 appearances. Brooks has 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists) in 27 games this season and is currently the team's second-best point scorer. The 29-year-old Canadian has been wearing the Munich jersey since the 2024/25 season and has played 60 DEL games so far. Sinn moved to Munich at the start of the season from Red Bull Salzburg, with whom he won the championship in 2025.
In addition to Kastner, Brooks, and Sinn, coach Oliver David will also have to do without forwards Tobias Rieder, Markus Eisenschmid, and national team goalkeeper Mathias Niederberger (all lower body injuries).

Two talented young players promoted
Due to the tight personnel situation, the sporting management has decided to promote two players from the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy to the professional squad. With immediate effect, 18-year-old defender Moritz Warnecke and 20-year-old forward Vadim Schreiner are now part of the Red Bulls squad.
Christian Winkler, Managing Director Sports Red Bull Ice Hockey: "The current personnel situation presents us with challenges. Thankfully, our medical department is doing an excellent job of getting injured players back into action as quickly as possible and on a sustainable basis. On a positive note, our consistent youth development work is paying off once again. With Moritz and Vadim, two young players are getting the chance to gain their first DEL experience. With the support of our experienced, established players and carried by our fantastic home fans, they are sure to get off to a good start in their first DEL appearances."
