Red Bulls CheckerBande Visits the Red Bull Hockey Academy
For more than a decade, the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy has been supporting young talents on their path to professional sports—including several players from our Red Bulls’ current roster, such as Jeremy McKenna, Philipp Krening, Lucas Thaler, and Elis Hede.
For the kids, it was naturally all the more exciting to follow in the footsteps of their idols and get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look. At exactly 7:30 a.m., a total of 26 members of the CheckerBande, accompanied by supervisors, set off from the SAP Garden for Salzburg/Liefering.
Fun, games, and ice hockey
Together with the girls and boys of the EC Red Bull Salzburg CheckerBande, the young fans explored part of the approximately 100,000-square-meter grounds in four groups. In addition to the ice rinks and the weight room, other highlights awaited the kids: among other things, they got to try their hand at a shooting station and burn off some energy in the bouncy castle.

Der Besuch der CheckerBande in Bildern
Before visiting the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy, the group also stopped by Red Bull Hangar-7, where the kids got to admire airplanes and race cars.
After an eventful day, the CheckerBande headed back to Munich. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day for the young fans.
