VIDEO: How the Red Bulls Salute 2025 went for Munich// RED BULLS SALUTEThe 18th edition of Red Bull Salute took place in Zell am See-Kaprun on August 22 and 23. We look back on an eventful weekend for coach Oliver David's team.Before the four participating teams took to the ice for the first time on Friday (August 22), the invitational tournament kicked off on Thursday (August 21) with a welcome event at Kaprun Castle. In a relaxed atmosphere, our Red Bulls met the participating teams from EC Red Bull Salzburg, Rögle BK, and EV Zug.
Hard-fought games
EV Zug won the opening game of the tournament on Friday, beating EC Red Bull Salzburg 4-3 to advance to the final. Later in the evening, it was time for EHC Red Bull München to get serious for the first time. In their game against Rögle BK, coach Oliver David's team was ultimately defeated 1-4 (1-1, 0-1, 0-2).
This meant that our Red Bulls faced EC Red Bull Salzburg in the small final the following day. With a confident 6-2 victory (1-2, 1-0, 4-0), Munich secured third place in the Red Bulls Salute. In the final, Swedish top club Rögle BK defeated EV Zug 4-1 to be crowned champions in their first appearance in the tournament.
