Will Butcher remains with the Red Bulls// TEAMDefender Will Butcher will continue to play for EHC Red Bull München in the coming season. The Bavarian club has extended the contract with the 30-year-old American, who has NHL experience.Butcher transferred from Kazakh KHL club Barys Astana to the Red Bulls at the end of November last year during the season. The defensive specialist quickly settled in and immediately gave Munich more stability. The 5'10“, 190-pound left-handed shooter played a total of 37 games in the PENNY DEL, scoring 14 points.

Butcher, who has played 280 games for the New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League (NHL) during his career, will retain the number 4 jersey in Munich. The American is the Red Bulls' ninth foreign player. A total of nine foreign players are allowed to play in each DEL game, and up to eleven players with foreign licenses can be included in the squad.
