Wings for Life match day against Ingolstadt with special jerseys and promotions
EHC Red Bull München has been actively involved with the Wings for Life Foundation since 2013. To date, a total of over €140,000 has been raised during our Wings for Life match days.
This year, we want to continue raising awareness for the foundation and its mission to find a cure for spinal cord injuries. To this end, our team will wear special jerseys during the already sold-out Bavarian derby against Ingolstadt (February 25 | 7:30 p.m.) at the SAP Garden.
Wings for Life jersey with special design
The jersey, which features various shades of blue, was designed by Munich artist Katharina Bourjau. It not only combines the two worlds of Wings for Life and ice hockey, but also the two cities of the Red Bull Ice Hockey Organization. Munich is represented on the jersey by the Frauenkirche and the SAP Garden, while Salzburg is represented by the Hohensalzburg Fortress.

Bourjau's distinctive style has resulted in dynamic artwork that connects the runners of the Wings for Life World Run with the players on the ice. The runner and the wheelchair user represent the goal of the run: running for those who cannot. The ornate “München” lettering on the back symbolizes the tracks that a hockey player leaves on the ice with his skates – a flowing motif of movement, community, and hope.
Replica jersey on sale from February 25
The replica jersey without embroidery will go on sale on February 25 in the Bullstore and online store and will be available for €79.95. For an additional €10, you can have your jersey personalized in the Bullstore – a jersey with a player's name and number will therefore cost €89.95.
The special jersey is available in sizes S to 3XL; authentic jerseys are not available.
The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned on eBay from March 2 to 12. All proceeds will go to the Wings for Life Foundation.
Match day promotions against Ingolstadt
Special promotions await you on match day itself: a player from the national para ice hockey team will perform the symbolic opening face-off. You can also donate your deposit to spinal cord research.
We will also welcome Wolfgang Illek, Head of Fundraising at Wings for Life, to the stadium for an interview.
For many years, the “Red Bulls and Friends” running group has also been participating in the Wings for Life World Run with its own team – anyone can join in. Whether at the “Flagship Run” in Munich's Olympic Park or anywhere in the world with the virtual Catcher Car via the Wings for Life World Run app: you are part of the same team.
