Exactly 152 days after his last appearance in the decisive Game Five of the Final Series against ERC Ingolstadt, Yasin Ehliz celebrated his season debut in the Red Bulls jersey on Friday night. Due to an injury, the current DEL player and striker of the year missed all preparation games as well as the first four Champions League games and the league opener.
Since matchday 3, however, our number 42 has been back on the goal hunt. With Ehliz on board, who was again one of the assets in both matches, the Red Bulls jumped to fifth place in the table on Sunday evening after a deserved 5:2 away win in Bremerhaven.

First of all, the question for you, Yasin. How do you feel after your return to the ice?
Yasin Ehliz: "For me personally, it was a very long break. Of course, there are still a few percent missing, but that was to be expected. You can still train so much: Game condition is just something different than training condition."
How long will it take you to get back to one hundred percent? With 71 scorer points, including 28 goals, you put real exclamation marks last season.
"It feels good to be back on the ice and playing with the guys. I might need another game or two to get the fitness back. But I've been able to stay relatively fit, so I'm confident it won't take that long."
How much of a challenge was it during your rehab program in Munich?
"It was difficult. For me, it was the first time I couldn't play for so long. I didn't know how the healing process would be. That's why it wasn't so easy mentally. But I got a lot of support. And the guys as well as everyone in charge made it as easy as possible for me."
Which teams are among the title contenders for you this year?
"We're certainly in the mix again, as are Mannheim and Berlin. And Cologne also has a super team. I think it's going to be tough."
