// DEL - HIGHLIGHTS
Game summary
Munich attacked relentlessly and took a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute of the second power play thanks to Kastner – the Red Bulls got off to an excellent start. In the 11th minute, the visitors made it 2-0: Patrick Hager won the face-off, McKenna shot, and the puck whizzed between Mirko Pantkowski's legs and into the net. The four-time German champions continued to apply pressure, with Frankfurt only launching their first offensive attacks late in the period. At the break, Munich led 2-0 on the scoreboard.
The superior Red Bulls continued to control the game in the second period and created more good chances. It took Frankfurt 13 minutes to get their first shot on goal in the second period, and Munich took three and a half minutes longer to score their next goal. Fontaine scored from close range to make it 3-0 at the break (37th minute).
It was the same story as before: The Red Bulls continued to dominate the game in the final period. However, another goal did not come at first. It was not until the 55th minute that Ferguson increased the lead to 4-0 with a rebound. And Wagner added the 5-0 after good work from Taro Hirose (58th). This final score meant a second consecutive shutout for Munich goalkeeper Antoine Bibeau.
