DEL, Matchday 48: EHC Red Bull München wins in Iserlohn
Goals from Markus Eisenschmid, Ryan Murphy, Taro Hirose, and Adam Brooks secured coach Oliver David's team two points in the final stages of the main round in front of 4,746 spectators at the Iserlohn Ice Rink, keeping them in contention for second place. On Friday (March 6 | 7:30 p.m.), the Red Bulls will host the Grizzlys Wolfsburg at a sold-out SAP Garden.

Game summary
The Red Bulls pushed the Roosters onto the defensive right from the start. However, the hosts took a 1-0 lead through Eirik Salsten while shorthanded (3rd minute). Munich then created several good chances to equalize, while Iserlohn continued to threaten. However, there were no further goals in this intense duel before the end of the period. Iserlohn went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
In the second period, Munich struggled for a long time to create any real danger in front of the goal of the flawless Andreas Jenike. The Roosters had more promising chances and increased their lead to 2-0 in the 37th minute through Colin Ugbekile. But Munich struck back twice within 83 seconds: first Eisenschmid made it 1-2 (39th), then Murphy evened the score at 2-2 (40th).
The Red Bulls carried the momentum of this double strike into the final period, and after three and a half minutes of sustained pressure, Hirose put the puck over the line to make it 3-2 for Munich (44th minute) after brilliant work from Jeremy McKenna. The four-time German champions were now the superior team, but the Roosters did not give up. Kyle Wood scored the equalizer in the 54th minute to make it 3-3. With the score tied, the teams went into overtime, where Brooks secured the extra point (61st).
