Red Bull München signs talented defender Rio Kaiser// TEAMThe U20 international Rio Kaiser will wear the jersey of EHC Red Bull Munich with immediate effect. The 18-year-old defender is moving from Berlin to the Isar and returning to familiar surroundings.Kaiser trained at the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy on the Bavarian-Austrian border in Liefering between 2020 and 2023, where he came through all the junior teams from U16 to U20. Now the left winger will be part of the Munich professional team for the first time.
Born in Berlin, he was most recently under contract with the Eisbären Berlin. The two-meter tall and 94-kilogram defender has already played ten games for the reigning German champions in the PENNY DEL and was officially part of the 2025 championship team. Kaiser also appeared in 24 DEL2 games for the Lausitzer Füchse in the 2024/25 season. He took another step in his development this year in Canada's top junior league, the OHL, where he played 25 games for the Peterborough Petes.

Kaiser will wear the number 18 for the Red Bulls.
