DEL: EHC Red Bull München travels to Mannheim for top game
Our team wants to continue the success story of twelve away victories in a row in the Kurpfalz (7:30 p.m. | LIVE in our blog and on MagentaSport) and at the same time set a new record. No team in the German Ice Hockey League has yet managed 13 wins in a row on foreign ice.

"Have to play our best hockey"
Munich and Mannheim currently share the record (twelve away victories). So victory number 13 could follow in the square city of all places. That this will be a very difficult undertaking is already shown by the balance of the past games.
Our last away defeat this season was in Mannheim. Coach Don Jackson's players have been waiting for a win in the SAP Arena since February 18, 2020, when the team won 2-1, followed by five consecutive defeats.

"We know we're facing a top team," Ryan McKiernan says ahead of the top duel, adding, "It's going to be a very tough task for us. We have to play our best hockey."
Mannheim signs new forward
This will certainly be necessary, even if the third in the table currently has a smaller negative run, at least in terms of results. Because the last three games were all lost, two of them in overtime. The team will be eager to make amends in front of their home crowd.
They could be boosted by the likely debut of newcomer Joseph Cramarossa, who arrived in Mannheim this week. The Canadian was most recently part of the Minnesota Wild's NHL organization, but played mostly for the Iowa Wild in the AHL.

Meanwhile, the Adler can rely on their shorthanded play, which is the best in the league at 83.6 percent. At home, they even come to a value of 87 percent. The power play (21.3 percent), on the other hand, is in the midfield.
Munich and Mannheim have already met three times this season. The two home games at Oberwiesenfeld went quite clearly to the Red Bulls (5:2, 6:2), away we drew the short straw (2:3), as already indicated above.
