DEL: EHC Red Bull München meets Schwenningen at Olympia-Eisstadion

The fact that Schwenningen can be a very unpleasant opponent was especially evident in our first meeting. At the end of October, the Wild Wings won 5:1 at Oberwiesenfeld. In the two following duels, the Red Bulls again kept the upper hand (3:2, 5:2), both times away from home. They now want to do the same in front of their home crowd.
Schwenningen's negative run
Harold Kreis' team is currently in a negative spiral. Seven of the last eight games were lost, most recently the Wild Wings lost the derby against the Bietigheim Steelers (1:2). On Sunday, the Black Forest team had a game off, so they should be well rested. Schwenningen has slipped to twelfth place in the standings, with a points average of 1.297. "If you want to survive or score points in this league, you have to bring 100 percent of your mindset, your attitude and your willingness to skate onto the ice right from the start - regardless of the opponent," Kreis said after the defeat in Bietigheim.
Two contract extensions with the Wild Wings
"Together, we must now look to get back to winning ways," emphasized forward Sebastian Uvira. This is also imperative if they still want to have a say in the fight for the 1st playoff round. The Wild Wings can still rely on their strong goalkeeper duo. Joacim Eriksson convinces with a catch rate of 93 percent, backup Marvin Cüpper (92.7) is similarly strong this season.
Meanwhile, there was good news to report off the ice. With defenseman Will Weber and forward Daniel Neumann, the team has signed two players to early contracts until 2025.
