DEL preview, match day 30: EHC Red Bull München visits Bremerhaven

Team spirit to secure the next away win? Red Bulls visit Bremerhaven// DEL - PREVIEWAfter three consecutive home games, EHC Red Bull Munich is back on the road. On Sunday at 2:00 p.m., the team will face the Pinguins Bremerhaven on the North Sea coast (live on MagentaSport and in our blog).
The Red Bulls continue to go from victory to victory at home in the SAP Garden. The Schwenningen Wild Wings also had nothing to play for on Thursday evening, as our boys ultimately prevailed 3:1 to secure their tenth successive home win.
Bremerhaven, on the other hand, have been successful away from home recently, but the Penguins suffered another defeat on Friday after two away wins in a row. The scoreboard read 2:3 at the Straubing Tigers.
"Our team spirit prevails"
Despite the absence of six regular players due to injury, the Red Bulls did not let anything burn against Schwenningen. Thanks to a compact team performance, in which the two youngsters Moritz Warnecke and Vadim Schreiner from the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy made their DEL debut, our boys deserved to win in the end.

"Schwenningen put up a strong fight, but we put up a good fight, even though we have a lot of injured players," emphasized Veit Oswald after the game. "You can see that everyone is ready to win. Our team spirit simply prevails," said the scorer of the 3:1 final score.
Munich want their first win
Of course, we want to play as a real unit again in the far north. And that will be necessary, because Bremerhaven is and will remain an uncomfortable opponent for us.
So far this season, we have lost both games against the North Sea side. In the Bavarian capital, the score was 3:4, while the Penguins came out on top 4:1 on the coast. But now they are determined to get their first win!

And the chances are good, as coach Alexander Sulzer's team has lost some of its consistency compared to recent years. The Penguins have also become more vulnerable defensively.
Hirose and youngster Roßmy stand out
This is also due to the fact that Kristers Gudlevskis, who recently won DEL Goalkeeper of the Year twice in a row, has been out for months. And the pairing of Leon Hungerecker and the subsequently signed Julius Hudacek has not really been convincing so far, both have a catch rate of less than 90 percent.
On the other hand, offensive defender Akito Hirose is another impressive signing. The brother of our Taro joined the team a few weeks after the start of the season and has already collected 3 goals and 15 assists in his 25 games.

Brothers in the DEL: Akito Hirose has been playing in Bremerhaven since the end of September.
Bennet Roßmy in particular is attracting attention up front. With 20 points already, the young striker is the best U23 attacker in the league (eight goals | twelve assists). Christian Wejse (already ten goals) is another player to watch out for, as the Dane is particularly dangerous in the slot.
And of course: The Karawanken Express around Jan Urbas, Ziga Jeglic and Miha Verlic can still decide entire games on their own and put their stamp on every game.
