EHC Red Bull München: Reactions and Stats of the Semifinals Game 4 vs Mannheim
Quotes
Oliver David (Coach, EHC Red Bull München): “We were outplayed in the first period. Mannheim could have taken the lead. But in the second period, we were able to turn the game in our favor. We spent more time on the offensive end, played better, and went into the break with a lead—because we capitalized on a power play. We’d only managed to do that once in the series up to that point. In the third period, Eisenschmid scored a goal in a one-on-one duel with a defenseman—that’s quite remarkable. When something like that happens, it’s a good sign. A great evening for us. We’ll do everything we can to be ready for Friday.”
Patrick Hager (Forward, EHC Red Bull München): “We managed to hold onto our lead after the second period today. When you capitalize on your chances, the game becomes easier. What gives me hope that we can still pull this off: the group we have and the course of the series. It was never a 0-3 series where we were hopelessly outmatched. They were very close games. Today we found a way. It was the first step. The mountain ahead of us is still huge. But we have a lot of quality in the team—and we’ve proven all year that we can perform under pressure. We’re ready for the next big game on Friday.”
Yasin Ehliz (Forward, EHC Red Bull München): “The difference from the first three games was that we capitalized on our chances better today. If you look at the series: Four games have been played, all of them were brutally close. Now we’ve secured our first win—hopefully it continues this way.”
Pressekonferenz: EHC Red Bull München vs. Adler Mannheim (14.04.2026)
// DEL - INTERVIEW
Dallas Eakins (Head Coach, Adler Mannheim): “Whether it’s the regular season or the playoffs, it’s always extremely difficult to win four games in a row against the same opponent. The odds are always stacked against you in such a situation. So far in this series, a lot has gone our way. We had the necessary luck, scoring goals and making saves at the right time. Today, that luck deserted us. Munich played a self-sacrificing game. We had prepared ourselves for a long series before the semifinals began, so we’ll take the lessons from this game with us into Game 5.”
Lukas Kälble (Defenseman, Adler Mannheim): “We got off to a good start, but in the second period we didn’t get the puck out of our zone quickly or effectively enough. We had another chance to get back into the game at the start of the final period. But Munich scored the goals in the decisive moments today. That’s how it goes sometimes in the playoffs. We’ll learn from this game; the loss isn’t the end of the world. “
Kristian Reichel (Forward, Adler Mannheim): “It was a close game until the start of the final period; at that point, we still had a chance to tie it at 2-2. The 1-3 goal was unfortunate from our perspective and effectively decided the game. But that happens. That’s hockey. We’re now preparing for Friday and will be ready again.”
