// DEL - HIGHLIGHTS
Game summary
Both teams started the game energetically, but were unable to create any clear scoring chances at first. It wasn't until the sixth minute that Munich goalie Mathias Niederberger had to make his first save against Bremerhaven's offense. In the ninth minute, he was powerless to prevent Christian Wejse from deflecting the puck into the net to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. Just 67 seconds later, Bennet Roßmy made it 2-0. The score remained unchanged until the break.
In the early stages of the second period, neither team posed much of a threat. That changed in the 28th minute when Wagner scored the Red Bulls' first goal after a cross to the far post. Munich then had several chances to equalize, but it was the Pinguins who scored next. Roßmy made it 3-1 for Bremerhaven in the 37th minute.
In the final period, the Red Bulls pushed hard for the equalizer, but without success. At the other end, one of the Penguins' counterattacks led to Vladimir Eminger making it 4-1 in the 47th minute. Despite all Munich's efforts, this score remained unchanged after 60 minutes.
