EHC Red Bull München: Chris DeSousa and Tobias Rieder injured
DeSousa has suffered an upper body injury and will be out for at least two weeks. The 35-year-old Canadian has been one of the most consistent offensive players in coach Oliver David's team so far. In the current PENNY DEL season, he has scored six goals and seven assists in 13 appearances.
Rieder is also unavailable for Munich for the time being. The national player had already had to withdraw from the Deutschland Cup due to a lower body injury. Now he will also be out of action in the league for at least two weeks. The 31-year-old leads the Munich team as the most successful scorer with seven goals (five assists). He sustained the injury in the Red Bulls' last DEL game in Cologne.
Ferguson suspended for one more game – Daubner and Fontaine ready to play again
Brady Ferguson will also be missing from Thursday's away game in Bremerhaven (7:30 p.m.), as he is serving a four-game suspension and will be eligible to play again after the game.
However, EHC Red Bull Munich will once again be able to call on two players who have recently been sidelined. Defender Maximilian Daubner is back in the squad after recovering from a lower-body injury, and Gabriel Fontaine also returns to the team after his upper-body injury.
