Trevor Parkes and the Red Bulls part ways“It was an honor.”// PERSONNELAfter seven successful years together, forward Trevor Parkes and EHC Red Bull München are parting ways. The Canadian will not be returning to the Red Bulls' roster.
Parkes moved to the four-time German champions in the summer of 2018 after two seasons with the Augsburger Panther. In his very first season, he helped the Red Bulls become the first German team ever to reach the Champions League final. Parkes contributed nine goals and three assists in nine games. The biggest highlight of his seven years with the club was winning the German championship in 2023. Until February 16, 2025, Parkes was also the DEL record goal scorer for EHC Red Bull München. The 34-year-old scored a total of 128 goals in the Munich jersey. Yasin Ehliz now tops the internal goal-scoring list with 131 DEL goals. In the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, the family man was the DEL's top scorer in the main round. In his first five years with the Red Bulls alone, Parkes scored 98 DEL goals – no other DEL player was more successful during this period.
Trevor Parkes Verabschiedung
“Unforgettable moments remain”
Trevor Parkes: “The past seven years have undoubtedly been the best of my career. Moving to Munich was an easy decision at the time, and I haven't regretted it for a second. Unforgettable moments remain: lifting the championship trophy two years ago was definitely the highlight of my career. I would also like to thank the fans who have always supported me through all the highs and lows. It has been an honor.”
Christian Winkler, Managing Director Sports Red Bull Ice Hockey: “Trevor was a real impact player during his time with us – both on and off the ice. He was a leader through and through. Unfortunately, a serious injury last season prevented him from finishing his time with us as he would have deserved. He will always be among the best of the best in our organization. We wish him and his family all the best for the future.”
Parkes played 332 DEL games and 38 CHL games for the Red Bulls until the 2024/25 season. He was unable to play any further games last season due to a serious knee injury. The entire organization would like to express its sincere gratitude for his many years of service, his numerous decisive goals, and the sporting successes we achieved together.
