Gabriel Fontaine from EHC Red Bull München is out of action
The Canadian suffered a lower-body injury in the game against the Frankfurt Lions on December 26. Further examinations will determine the exact length of his absence.
The forward transferred from Eisbären Berlin to Munich last summer for the current season. In 30 appearances for the four-time German champions so far, Fontaine has racked up a total of 15 points (eight goals | seven assists).

A total of seven injured players – Eisenschmid set for comeback
In addition to the forward, the Red Bulls are currently missing six other regulars. Mathias Niederberger and Maximilian Kastner are still out for around three weeks with lower body injuries. Adam Brooks and Tobias Rieder are expected to be out for another two weeks (also with lower body injuries). Defender Phillip Sinn will be out for several more weeks due to an upper body injury.
Markus Eisenschmid, who has been recovering from a lower-body injury for about a month, has the best chance of making a comeback in the near future.
