DEL preview, match day 21: EHC Red Bull München visits Augsburg
The Red Bulls were already on the road on Friday evening. And the away trip to Eisbären Berlin was a success, as our boys won 3:1 in the German capital. The same applies to the Augsburg Panthers, who won 4:3 against the Cologne Sharks after a penalty shoot-out.
Live broadcast on HENRY
Sunday will be the 69th meeting between the two teams. If you want to watch the derby live on TV, you can do so at the SAP Garden. The game will once again be broadcast LIVE on the screens in the HENRY.

Derby winning streak for the Red Bulls
And Koni Abeltshauser confirmed in advance that the games against Augsburg are always something special. "Derbies are always cool. There will certainly be a lot of fire and energy in Augsburg again, it will be a game with a lot of emotion," said our defender. "For us, it's about countering that," demanded the 33-year-old.
We've done that very well recently. Because the past four derbies against AEV have all gone to us, and the Red Bulls have also won the last two duels at the Curt-Frenzel-Stadion.
The first meeting this season took place on September 19 at the SAP Garden. Munich won 6:3, with Veit Oswald scoring a brace.

Club record narrowly missed in October
A good two months have passed since then and the Panthers have established themselves in mid-table with 30 points. The main reason for this was a strong run in October with seven wins in a row. With eight wins in a row, they would even have set their own club record.
Recently, however, things have been mixed for the team of former NHL coach Bill Peters. In their last home game, they suffered a tough 4:9 defeat in the derby against Straubing. Against the Tigers, Augsburg conceded three goals while shorthanded, and it's no coincidence that their penalty killing is the weakest in the PENNY DEL.
Power in attack
In the first few months of this season, the offense has been driven primarily by two new summer signings. Alexandre Grenier leads the scoring list with 21 points, the Canadian is one of the best forwards in the league. His partner Alexander Blank is one of the most dangerous German attackers. Born in Berlin, he has already scored 19 points. D.J. Busdeker and Riley Damiani (ten goals each) are also extremely dangerous.
But despite the offensive power of the Fuggerstädter, especially at home, the Red Bulls have a clear goal on Sunday: "We want to take the three points to Munich, celebrate a proper derby win and make our fans happy," summarized Abeltshauser.
