Wings for Life World Run 2025: Records galore – and Abeltshauser right in the thick of it// NEWSThis year, more participants than ever before came together from all over the world. The goal: to run for people who cannot run. The Wings for Life World Run 2025 was a resounding success with impressive records.
Among the numerous locations worldwide, Munich's Olympiapark was once again the starting point for one of the flagship runs this year, which also passed through the city center for the first time. Despite rainy weather, 14,000 runners took to the course. Worldwide, there were 49,628 participants, setting a new record.

Global winner comes from Japan once again
After Tomoya Watanabe won last year's Wings for Life World Run, a runner from the Land of the Rising Sun is once again at the top of the podium in 2025: Jo Fukuda ran 71.67 kilometers in the Flagship Run in Fukuoda (Japan) – more than any other participant this year.
